We must admit that there are parts of the Bible that seem very confusing. The Bible seems this way because although God wrote it, He used human authors. They used different languages and had different historical and cultural contexts. There are parts of the Bible that are difficult to understand, but an unbiased interpretation is very possible. It is important to realize that the essential messages of the Bible are clear and without dispute (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
