Our Staff
Senior Pastor:
John Russell
John and his wife Ronda, came to our church as interim pastor in May 2003, and was called as senior pastor in September 2003. Born and raised Downriver, Pastor John brings a unique style and insight to the study of God's Word.
Youth Pastor:
Chuk Pierpont
Chuk came to us in November of 2009. Raised in a pastor's home, he ran a
successful youth ministry in Wisconsin, and has a wide range of ministry
experience. In addition to his love for our youth, Chuk is passionate
about God, about His Church, and about music.
Children's Ministry:
Janice Jakaus
Janice brings her love for Christ and love for children to our weekly "Kid Connection" program that meets during the Sunday Morning Worship time. Her creativity, hard work, and assistance from a small army of volunteers, provides an age-appropriate interactive learning environment for children to learn practical, foundational truths about God and their relationship with Him.
Joe & Karla Leonard
The Leonard's have a passion for kids, and it shows clearly with their long term commitment as AWANA Kids Club leaders. Their enthusiasm, energy, and dedication are demonstrated each week as they lead our "clubbers" on Thursday nights during the school year.
